Christianity Is Great!

There is nothing in life comparable to living the Christian life.

Many people have tried the things of the world in an effort to find happiness and purpose in life without success. The world and all of its attractions pale in comparison. Solomon had power (Eccl. 1:12), prominence (Eccl. 1:16), material possessions (Eccl. 2:4-8), and pleasure (Eccl. 2:10), but lamented, “And indeed all was vanity and grasping for wind. There was no profit under the sun” (Eccl. 2:11). His conclusion was that life is meaningless without God (Eccl. 12:13-14). Today, many people, like Solomon, spend an inordinate amount of time looking in all the wrong places for happiness, contentment, and satisfaction in life. As Christians, we have the answer to our friends and families quest for purpose and happiness in life. The answer is Christianity. There is nothing like it. On one occasion, Peter said to Jesus, “See, we have left all and followed You. So He said to them, Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come everlasting life” (Lu. 18:28-30). Think about it, there are matchless blessings associated with following the Lord both now and in eternity. What can compare to that? In capsule form, Christianity offers pardon from sin (Jo. 8:24; Acts 2:38; Eph. 1:7), peace with God (Rom. 5:1-2), the peace of God (Phil. 4:6-7), the presence of God (Heb. 13:5-6), the privilege of prayer (I Pet. 3:12), and the promise of heaven (Jo. 14:1-3).
